Yesterday Denise began the first day of filming the pilot for Living Dee Life. Lots of scene takes, wardrobe changes, hair & makeup changes filled the 12 hour day! But it went so well with the amazing crew of talented people.
We started the morning at 4:30 am….(lotza coffee)… to begin Dee’s hair & makeup. I used Arbonne’s Perfecting Liquid foundation which always translates beautifully on camera. Chanel ‘Le Volume’ mascara for her eyes and a semi-glossy lip. I styled her in an olive green dress by ALDO and shoes by Steve Madden.
Here are a few behind the scenes photos of her looks. More pics to come!
This is an eeeaasy look to pull off for summer. High-low dresses and skirts are really trending right now. Very comfortable to wear and easy to accessorize with a classic fedora and simple jewelry. My favorite combo is black and cream, but I did want a fun pop of color so I used it on my lips with Chanel Rouge Velvet in L’Exubérante.
I am so happy to have styled Denise Berry, host of LivingDeeLife.com for her interview with Kristi Yamaguchi. Kristi had an event for her Always Dream Foundation by reading a book she wrote called Dream Big, Little Pig to inspire kids everywhere.
For Denise’ look, I did a rope-twist updo for her hair, makeup using Arbonne cosmetics, and styled her with black skinny pants, fashionista stiletto boots, a flowey top, and picked a cream blazer for the professional touch. I wanted to use a cream palette for her clothing and blue eyeshadow colors because it reminded me of ice skating and that winter feel, which is fitting for interviewing the beautiful gold medalist :).
It’s A BOY! This is my cousin Jenny expecting her first baby this September. I glammed her up with some wavy curls to her hair, simple makeup but with a little smokey eye, and coupled her elegant black maxi dress with gold accessories. The gold cuff and beautiful gold earrings were enough of a statement to keep the jewelry on the minimal side, so I didn’t add a necklace or rings. I think its the perfect amount of jewelry for this particular maxi dress. She looks gorgeous and glamorous 🙂
This is my beautiful sister-in-law Lissette modeling a really fun up do I was working on. This is currently one of my favorite up do’s! Its pretty easy to create and its just darn cute. Of course, I had to add some kind of sparkle to it. I really thought tiny rhinestones throughout the bow would be just perfect but i didn’t have any hair clips for that. Instead, I applied small dots of silver-glitter puff paint on the ends of the bobby pins and it gave the same effect as rhinestones.
For the makeup I wanted to keep it in the same color scheme as the hair-bow using black and silvers. But to keep it from being to dark all around, I used a bright pink lip color that had little flecks a glitter in it as well. It gives the whole look just the right pop of color.
This was so much fun to do! I did this look on my friend Cady at our beauty school. All the rhinestones are individually applied using clear eyelash glue. Love the false lashes too, it just goes perfectly with the theme of this makeup.
Leopard print eyes for my friend Juvina. I used a matte terracotta eyeshadow on the lid and a peachy coral in the crease. I drew the spots using an eyeliner pen making a messy “C” shape. I finished the look by filling in the spots using glittery-gold liquid eyeliner and a set of false lashes.
